Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng receives Cambodian Deputy PM


Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on August 23 hosted a reception for Mr. Hor Namhong, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation currently on a working visit to Việt Nam.

Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng told the guest that Việt Nam has maintained its consistent policy of nurturing and developing the comprehensive ties with Cambodia for mutual benefits.

Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng hailed the outcomes of the latest meeting of the Việt Nam-Cambodia Joint Committee, recommending the two sides jointly exploiting available potentials in such areas as economics, culture, education, tourism, and national defense.

The Vietnamese Government chief hoped that the two countries would work together in building ASEAN and tapping the natural resources in the Mekong River.

For his part, Mr. Hor Namhong expressed gratitude to Vietnam for effective helping Cambodia in the training of its labor resources in recent years.

“Cambodia hopes to cement and deepen the bilateral ties with Việt Nam, especially in economics, trade and investment”, said the Deputy Prime Minister.

He added that Cambodia would adopt the best investment incentives for Vietnamese players to do business there.

The two leaders took the occasion to discuss the planting of border landmarks, agreeing to work to finalize the task at the end of 2012 in the spirit of brotherhood, neighborliness, mutual confidence and understanding.
