PM Nguyen Tan Dung receives foreign guests

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on Feb. 23 separately received Cambodian Senior Minister and Minister of Planning Chhay Than and Former Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan who are on their working visits to Việt Nam.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng spoke highly of the working visit of the Cambodian guest and the outcomes of the talks between Minister Chhay Than and Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment.

“Việt Nam will join hands with Cambodia to cement and deepen the bilateral ties for mutual interests”, said Mr. Dũng, adding that there remains wide door for the two countries to boost economic and investment ties.

The host leader also recommended that the two sides should spur linkages in such areas as education, tourism, telecommunication, aviation, and agriculture.

For his part, Minister Chhay expressed his gratitude to the Party, State and people of Việt Nam for valuable support to the national liberation and socio-economic development in Cambodia.

“Cambodia hopes to continue to boost multifaceted ties with Việt Nam”, said Mr. Chhay Than.

The two-way trade turnover between Việt Nam and Cambodia grew 36% in 2010 against 2009. Last year, up to 30 Vietnamese businesses set footholds in Cambodia.

Receiving former Chinese State Council Tang Jiaxuan, the PM said

Receiving former Chinese State Council Tang Jiaxuan, the PM said that he was pleasure to witness the fine development of the relationship between Việt Nam and China.

He thanked Chinese leaders for sending a special envoy to congratulating the success of the 11th National Congress of the Communist Party of Việt Nam.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng hoped that the two sides would conduct more investment promotion activities and raise the two-way trade volume to higher level.

Mr. Tang Jiaxuan suggested that Việt Nam and China should increase reciprocal visits at all levels with the aim to strengthen bilateral friendship and understanding, and speed up economic cooperation./.
